M. J. Whitehouse

M. J. Whitehouse has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. They have held various roles at different companies.

Starting in 2002, Whitehouse founded JumpStart BioDevelopment, a company focused on early drug development for pharmaceutical companies. They were responsible for defining strategies, creating value, and raising over $200M for new companies.

In 2014, Whitehouse became involved with Health In Harmony, serving as the Chairman of the Board. They remained engaged as a volunteer Ambassador even after leaving the Board in 2020. Health In Harmony is a non-profit organization working towards reversing deforestation in tropical forests.

From 1962 to 1966, they attended the University of Southern California, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. They then proceeded to the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine, where they earned their MD degree in Medicine from 1966 to 1970. Subsequently, they pursued further specialization and training, completing an Internship in Medicine at the University of Vermont, School of Medicine from 1970 to 1971. Finally, from 1971 to 1975, they enrolled at the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine once again, where they underwent a Residency in Medicine and a fellowship in Rheumatology, focusing on Internal Medicine with a specialization in Rheumatology.
