Srikannathasan Velupillai

Srikannathasan Velupillai has a strong background in structural biology and protein crystallography. Srikannathasan has held various senior scientist positions at reputable organizations such as Arctoris, Etcembly Ltd, Evotec, Immunocore, University of Oxford, Structural Genomic Consortium, GlaxoSmithKline, and the University of St Andrews. Throughout their career, they have been involved in protein expression, purification, crystallization, data collection, and structural determination. Srikannathasan has also worked on structure-guided inhibitor development and protein engineering. Srikannathasan is experienced in project management, reporting to clients, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Srikannathasan Velupillai began their education at Vasavilan Central College in Jaffna, Srilanka, where they graduated with a GCSE A/L degree in High School in the year range of 1986 to 1993. Srikannathasan then went on to pursue a BSc Honours degree in Biochemistry at the University of East London, completing it from 1995 to 1999. Following this, Srikannathasan Velupillai undertook a PhD program in Biological Chemistry and Structuralbiology at the University of St Andrews for the period of 1999 to 2001. Srikannathasan further pursued a second PhD degree in the same field, Biological Chemistry and Structuralbiology, at the University of East Anglia from 2001 to 2002.
