Mukunda Krishna, CPIM

Mukunda Krishna has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Software Engineer at Tesco HSC, where they developed solutions for innovative projects and improved the company's commercial portal. From 2010 to 2012, Mukunda studied at Keck Graduate Institute, focusing on manufacturing and supply chain simulation studies.

In 2011, they worked as an Intern at Shire HGT, gaining experience in research and development. That same year, they also served as a Team Master's Project Student Consultant at Broadley-James Corporation.

Starting in 2012, Mukunda joined Vical as a Manufacturing Engineer, where they led and coordinated fermentation unit operations and production activities. Mukunda also played a key role in technology transfer projects and contributed to process optimization and validation efforts. Mukunda continued to advance in their role, becoming a Process Development Engineer III and later a Senior Engineer II. At Vical, they were involved in various aspects of drug substance manufacturing, including raw material procurement, equipment setup, and COGS analysis.

In 2019, Mukunda joined Arcturus Therapeutics as a Senior Engineer and later served as a Senior Manager, responsible for technical services and external manufacturing. Mukunda played a crucial role in the tech transfer of a COVID vaccine and other therapeutics, overseeing cGMP production runs and leading teams working on DS processes for EUA and BLA. Mukunda also reviewed RFPs, SOWs, contracts, and finalized specifications. In 2022, they were promoted to Associate Director, External Manufacturing, Tech Ops, and Supply Chain, where they continued to contribute to the company's manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Mukunda Krishna, CPIM, has an educational background that includes a Master's in Business of Bioscience (MBS) from Keck Graduate Institute, which was completed between the years 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology (BE) from Visvesvaraya Technological University, from 2004 to 2008. In their earlier education, Mukunda attended Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala in Mysore from 1999 to 2004, although the specific degree earned and field of study are not provided.

In addition to their formal education, Mukunda has further enhanced their professional skill set by obtaining a certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS in November 2018.
