Narae Lee

Narae Lee's work experience begins with their current role as a Senior Scientist at Arcturus Therapeutics, where they started in January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientist II at the same company from May to December 2022, and as a Scientist I from October 2021 to April 2022. In these roles, they focused on bioassay and potency assay development for mRNA-based medicines, as well as the development of potency and stability assays for COVID and flu vaccines, and therapeutic mRNA drug bioassay development for rare diseases.

Before Arcturus Therapeutics, Narae worked as a Scientist/consultant at BioSpyder Technologies from August 2020 to November 2021. Narae also served as a Biomedical Scientific Consultant at Narae Lee Ph.D from June 2018 to November 2021, where they reviewed and composed medical and scientific grant proposals and manuscripts, and translated medical documents between English and Korean for individual scientists.

Narae also has experience as an Instructor/Lecturer at San Francisco State University from January to December 2018, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Berkeley from February 2015 to June 2017.

Narae's earlier work experience includes roles as a Graduate researcher, teaching assistant, and research assistant at Tulane Medical Center from August 2011 to December 2014, a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from August 2007 to December 2010, a Human Embryonic Stem cell Culture Course Consultant at WI cell research institute from July 2009 to May 2010, an Exchange scholar and Research Technician at Tulane University from January 2004 to August 2007, and a Toxicologist at the Clinical research institute, Seoul National University Hospital from January 2001 to August 2002.

Narae Lee completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Sciences, General from Tulane University School of Medicine, where they studied from 2011 to 2014. Afterward, they pursued a postdoctoral researcher position in Vision Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where they worked from 2015 to 2017.
