Lisa Seitz

Senior Director, Translational Science at Arcus Biosciences

Lisa Seitz has a vast work experience in the field of biosciences. Lisa started their career as a Research Associate at Indiana University Bloomington in 1991 and worked there until 1994. Lisa then worked as an Associate Biochemist at Eli Lilly and Company in 1997. From 1998 to 2004, they worked at Tularik, first as a Research Associate and then as a Principal Research Associate. At Tularik, they conducted genetic target validation and established QPCR as a tool for evaluating chemokine receptor antagonists. Lisa joined Amgen in 2004 as an Associate Scientist before being promoted to Senior Associate Scientist, where they managed compound testing flow and performed radioligand binding assays. From 2008 to 2014, they worked at Chemocentryx as a Scientist and Scientist II, managing compound testing flow and adapting whole blood biomarker assays. Lisa then joined Flexus Biosciences in 2014 as a Scientist II. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at FLX Bio as a Senior Scientist, leading the implementation of ex vivo assays and managing a biomarker team. Currently, they are working at Arcus Biosciences, where they have held various roles including Principal Investigator, Director, and Senior Director of Translational Science.

Lisa Seitz earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Indiana University Bloomington in 1991. Lisa then pursued a Master's degree in Microbiology from the same university, graduating in 1997.
