Omar Kabbarah

Omar Kabbarah has an extensive work experience in the field of Translational Sciences and Oncology.

Omar is currently serving as the Vice President of Translational Sciences at Arcus Biosciences since March 2023.

Prior to this, they worked at Exelixis as the Vice President of Discovery Oncology from April 2022 to January 2023.

From September 2019 to April 2022, they held the position of Head of Discovery and Translational Biology at Zai Lab.

Before Zai Lab, they were the Senior Director and Head of Translational Medicine at ORIC Pharmaceuticals from January 2018 to September 2019.

Omar has also worked at Genentech as the Biomarker Team Leader in Oncology Biomarker Development from June 2011 to January 2018.

Earlier in their career, they served as the Principal Scientist and Oncology Target Discovery Team Leader at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals from January 2009 to June 2011.

Omar began their professional journey as a Scientist II at AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from March 2006 to December 2008.

Omar Kabbarah started their career as a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Cancer Center from October 2003 to April 2006.

Omar Kabbarah obtained a PhD in Molecular Genetics from Washington University School of Medicine between 1998 and 2003. Afterward, they worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Cancer Center.
