Melissa Seal

Melissa Seal is an accomplished professional in the field of medical affairs and scientific communications with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as Executive Director of Medical Affairs at Arcutis Biotherapeutics, Inc. since March 2020, Melissa previously held the position of Senior Director of Scientific Communications at Atara Biotherapeutics from July 2018 to December 2019. Prior to that role, Melissa spent over 12 years at Amgen, where responsibilities included Director and Therapeutic Area Lead in Global Scientific Communications. Melissa's career commenced at Eli Lilly and Company as a Postdoctoral Associate. Melissa holds a PhD in Physiology and Genetics from Purdue University, earned in 2004, and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Purdue University, completed in 2000.
