Michael Han

Michael Han is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Operations at Ardius, a company that was acquired by Gusto in 2021. Prior to this, they were a Principal Solution Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020. From 2007 to 2020, they were CTO and Vice President of Services at Liferay, Inc. Michael was responsible for Liferay's strategic technology investments and information security standards, as well as the executive sponsor for Liferay's Global Information Security Program. Michael also drove the growth of the consulting business to represent 15% of global revenues. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Principal at f(x) Systems, INC, a firm specializing in proprietary algorithmic trading in the futures and cash currency markets. From 2004 to 2005, they were Vice President, GFX Chief Architect at Bank of America, where they were in charge of foreign exchange (FX) trading systems architecture, design, and implementation. From 2001 to 2004, they were an Architect at CIBC, where they were responsible for the redesign of CIBC's online banking solution onto a new JEE platform. From 2000 to 2001, they were a Technical Manager at BroadVision, where they were responsible for architecture and design of B2B, B2C, and Portal systems. From 1999 to 2000, they were AVP, Fixed Income and Funding at Bank One. From 1998 to 1999, they were a Software Engineer at Strategic Technology Resources. From 1996 to 1998, they were a Software Engineer at Neoglyphics Media Corp.

Michael Han's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, obtained between 1994 and 1998.
