Area Agency on Aging 1-B
Jenny Jarvis has extensive work experience in various roles spanning several organizations. Jenny started their career in 1990 as an Assistant Manager at The Sports Clubs of Canada. Jenny then moved on to The McGill Club, where they worked as a Sales and Marketing Manager from 1992 to 1995. In 1997, Jenny joined the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario as the National Corporate Development Manager until 1999. Jenny then worked at the American Diabetes Association as a District Director in 2000. In 2001, Jenny joined the Area Agency on Aging 1-B, where they held the role of Director of Communications until 2015. From 2015 onwards, they assumed the position of Chief Communications & Strategy Officer at the same organization.
Jenny Jarvis completed their Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from York University, where they studied from 1984 to 1989. Later, from 1997 to 2000, they pursued an MBA in Marketing and Supply Chain Management from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
Area Agency on Aging 1-B
The Area Agency on Aging 1-B is a nonprofit agency responsible for services to more than 620,000 persons age 60 and older residing in Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair and Washtenaw counties. Through the provision of home care and community-based services, older adults are provided with options that can help maintain their health and independence in their homes and communities.
