Cynthia Boaz

Cynthia Boaz is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in nursing and social work. Currently serving as an RN Assessor and Independent Entity at the Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio, Inc. since January 2019, Cynthia assesses applicants for various Ohio Medicaid programs and oversees the Specialized Recovery Services program. Prior roles include Charge Nurse at Blue Creek Healthcare and over 20 years at the Area Office on Aging in various assessor and care management capacities. Additionally, Cynthia has held positions as Staff RN, Social Worker, and Social Service Director at diverse healthcare institutions, beginning as a social services assistant in 1991. Educational achievements include a BSN from Spring Arbor University, an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Mercy College of Ohio, and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Toledo.
