Ben Rogers

Ben Rogers is the current President at Area Substance Abuse Council. Prior to this, they were the Traumatic Brain Injury Council and Fund Coordinator at Home and Community Services Division--Aging and Long-Term Support Administration from April 2014 to September 2016. In this role, they were responsible for communicating with a broad spectrum of managerial, legislative, and administrative staff and stakeholders at local, state, and federal levels. Ben also provided procurement, oversight and management of contracts related to the Traumatic Brain Injury account activities. This included writing procurements, writing contract language and exercising appropriate oversight of contracts. In addition, they conducted research and analysis on a variety of issues from numerous sources and developed strategic recommendations for policies and practices that result in improved service delivery, administrative efficiencies and positive outcomes.

Ben Rogers has also initiated collaborations with other DSHS partners and developed reports, concept papers and policy briefs for executive leadership and the legislature. Ben has led coordination, oversight and facilitation of meetings of the Traumatic Brain Injury strategic partnership, advisory council, and related task forces or subcommittees. Furthermore, they have developed relationships with persons with Traumatic Brain Injury, their families and entities that work with persons with Traumatic Brain Injury and their families including the Brain Injury Association of Washington and other groups represented on the Traumatic Brain Injury strategic partnership advisory council. Additionally, they have developed partnerships, inter-agency agreements, and collected data on existing web-based resources to provide brain injury information and link information systems.

Ben Rogers has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Business from The Evergreen State College, and a Certification from Key Bank Professional Development Center University of Washington Tacoma in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Ben also has a Certification from Criminal Justice Training Center in Level 1 Defensive Tactics Instructor.
