Sebastian Hensel

Sebastian Hensel has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Sebastian began their career in 2004 as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at the University of Karlsruhe. In 2009, they joined Wärtsilä Switzerland Ltd., where they held positions as an Expert Combustion & CFD, Project Manager (SCR), Teamleader CFD & Hydraulic Simulation, and General Manager, Collaborative Research. In 2015, they moved to Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd., where they served as the General Manager for Collaborative Research and later as the General Manager for Engine Performance until 2018. Sebastian then joined Körber Medipak Systems AG in 2018 as the Business Development / Group Product Manager. Currently, Sebastian Hensel is working at WinGD – Winterthur Gas & Diesel as the Global Head Testing & Validation and also has experience as the General Manager for Global Testing.

Sebastian Hensel's education history begins in 1998 when they enrolled at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Sebastian completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Diplom-Ingenieur) in 2004. Later, in 2009, they obtained their Ph.D. (Doktor) in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution.

After a gap in their education, Sebastian Hensel pursued further studies from 2017 to 2019 at the ZHAW School of Management and Law, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
