Gary Halliwell has over 35 years of experience in the business world. Gary began their career in 1984 as a Field Exploration Geologist for De Beers in Botswana. During their time there, they built De Beers' first GIS prospecting system. In 1990, Halliwell became a Film Producer for GeoFilms, working on documentary films with earth sciences content on location in Angola, Portugal, and the UK. From 1993 to 2001, Halliwell held various positions at Thomson Reuters, including CEO of Thomson Business Intelligence and Vice President of Investext. In 2001, Halliwell became the CEO of Hurwitz Group, where they attempted to turn around an unprofitable technology analyst firm. From 2003 to 2006, Halliwell served as President of ZoomInfo, where they rapidly grew the business from $2M to $10M through the Series A stage. In 2006, Halliwell founded and became Executive Chairman of NetProspex. Finally, in 2018, Halliwell became CEO and Co-founder of Area4 Labs.
Gary Halliwell attended Hymers College from 1973 to 1978. Gary then pursued an MA in Earth Sciences at the University of Oxford, which they completed in 1982.
