Wael Makhlouf

Wael Makhlouf, CFA, FRM, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in performance reporting and attribution within the investment management sector. Since April 2012, Wael has held various roles at Ares Management Corporation, currently serving as Principal, where oversight of firmwide credit performance reporting is a key responsibility. Previous positions include VP of Performance & Attribution and Manager of Fund Accounting, contributing significantly to the firm's first 40 Act IPO and enhancing performance metrics. Prior experience includes being a Senior Performance Analyst at LaSalle Investment Management and Western Asset Management Co., focusing on data integrity, performance measurement, and innovative reporting processes. Early in Wael's career, tenure as a Loan Officer at American Finance House provided foundational insights into financial analysis. Wael holds an MS in Finance from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from IHEC School of Management, Tunis Carthage.
