Linda Ieleja Gerstman

Linda Ieleja Gerstman has an extensive work experience in the legal and finance industry. Linda began their career in 1990 as an Attorney at Sidley Austin, where they worked for nine years. Linda then joined the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in 1999 as a Branch Chief/Senior Investigation Counsel, where they supervised the investigation and prosecution of violations of securities laws. Linda stayed with the SEC for 12 years until 2011. In 2017, they joined Arete Wealth Management as an Associate General Counsel. In this role, Linda is responsible for compliance policies and procedures, identifying areas of compliance vulnerability, and evaluating regulatory risks associated with new hires and business lines.

Linda Ieleja Gerstman completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Communications from Gustavus Adolphus College from 1983 to 1987. Linda then pursued higher education at the University of Minnesota Law School, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law, completing their studies from 1987 to 1990.
