Richard Fires, MBA, GPHR has extensive experience in human resources and human strategy. Richard is currently serving as the Head of Human Strategy at AreteiaTx. Prior to this role, Richard held the position of SVP Human Strategy & Operating Partner at Population Health Partners, where they were responsible for managing all human strategy and resource functions across the firm and its portfolio companies. Richard played a key role in transaction activity, including HR due diligence and employee transitions.

Before their time at Population Health Partners, Richard served as the Chief Human Strategy Officer at GeneDx. Additionally, they worked as an Advisor at AdvisoryCloud and held various roles at The Medicines Company, including Chief Human Resources Officer, Sr. Vice President Human Strategy, Vice President Global Human Resources, and Head of Global Total Rewards. At The Medicines Company, they were involved in implementing new systems and technology for managing growth and directed the human strategy for several global functions.

Richard also has experience at Masterfoods USA as a Sr. Director of Human Resources and at ConAgra Foods as a Director of Human Resources. Overall, Richard Fires has a strong background in human resources leadership and strategic planning.

Richard Fires, MBA, GPHR completed their education in a chronological order. In 1999, they obtained a PHR certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Then, from 2000 to 2002, they pursued their B.S. in Human Resources at Bellevue University. In 2002, they obtained an SPHR certification from the same institute. From 2003 to 2005, Richard earned their MBA in Business from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In 2007, they obtained a Green Belt Certification in Six Sigma from Villanova University. In 2008, Richard obtained their GPHR certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Finally, in 2011, they received a certification in the Program for Pharmaceutical & Biotech Executives from The Wharton School.
