Paul Smerchanski

Paul Smerchanski is a seasoned energy professional with significant experience in energy storage and development. Currently serving as Vice President of Origination at Arevon Energy, Inc., Paul manages a 2 GW energy storage portfolio in California and leads origination efforts. Previously, as Director of Storage Development at Origis Energy, Paul expanded the energy storage business significantly and directed the development of large-scale projects. Earlier roles at Recurrent Energy involved the leadership of energy storage business development and strategic planning for utility-scale PV+storage initiatives. Paul initiated their career at Canaccord Genuity as a Summer Associate in equity research and worked as a Mechanical Engineer at GENIVAR. Paul holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba.
