Melissa Peterson

Melissa Peterson is a seasoned leader in renewable energy, currently serving as Sr. Vice President & Head of Onshore & Origination at Ørsted, where responsibilities include leading onshore development projects in wind, solar, storage, and green hydrogen across the Americas. With a strong background in business development and project management from previous roles at Apex Clean Energy and EDF Renewable Energy, Melissa has demonstrated expertise in power sales, financial transactions, and environmental permitting. Active in industry associations, Melissa is a member of the Board of Directors at the Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Energy Association and CvilleREA. Educational credentials include an Executive Program from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, a Master's in Biodiversity, Conservation & Policy from the University at Albany, and a Bachelor's in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
