Chris Shankle

Chris Shankle, CPA, CGMA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Chris has been working at Argent Financial Group, Inc. since 2015, serving as the Senior Vice President - Employee Benefits. In this role, Chris is responsible for managing over $65 billion in client assets and providing a wide range of wealth management services.

Before joining Argent Financial Group, Chris held various positions at Capital One from 1993 to 2015. Chris started as a Market Manager in Greater Louisiana and later became a Senior Retirement Specialist, where they played a key role in client service and provided thought leadership on employee benefits.

Prior to Capital One, Chris worked at Hibernia National Bank from 1993 to 2005 as a Senior Retirement Specialist. At First Security Bank, they served as a Trust Officer, contributing to the growth of the bank's retirement business through the implementation of modern participant recordkeeping systems.

Chris began their career at Price Waterhouse in 1989 as an Accountant.

Chris Shankle, CPA, CGMA graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1989 with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Prior to that, they attended South Panola High School from 1981 to 1985. In terms of certifications, they became a Certified Public Accountant in 1991 through the Mississippi State Board of Accounting and later obtained the same certification from the State Board of Certified Public Accountants of Louisiana in 1997. In 2011, they achieved the status of Associate Professional Member from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. Additionally, they earned the qualification of Chartered Global Management Accountant from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2012.
