Argenta is currently looking to fill the role of Animal Care Technician in the MVS - Manhattan, Kansas location.

The Animal Care Technician position is an opportunity for motivated, driven individuals to showcase their ability to multi task and work as a team.

The Animal Care Technician adds value through the following responsibilities:

• Set up rooms as per protocol design, and ensure rooms are properly staged and maintained during all phases of the study.

• Collect research data and samples in accordance with study protocols and Good Documentation Practices.

• Assist veterinarians in observations and procedures and inform veterinarians if abnormalities are observed

• Promote and maintain the well-being of animals including feeding and basic care

• Repair, maintain and operate equipment/machinery

• Perform administrative duties that support the care of animals and site functions

• Responsible for recording information both timely and accurately

• Build relationships with key individuals and contributors in the organization and beyond

Animal Care Technician requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience

• Experience working with animals; large and small

• Ability to work well with others and maintain composure

• Ability to work collaboratively as well as communicate effectively both written and orally

• Attention to detail and analytically driven

• Dependability, flexibility and ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• Willingness to be on call and in on-call rotation, including weekends

• Live within a satisfactory distance to assist in on call purposes and procedures

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
