Maarten Terlouw

Maarten is responsible for co-managing the firm’s on-going strategy, governance, investments, trade finance and related risk management. He is also responsible for the firm’s ESG initiative. He is based in New York.

Prior to joining Argentem Creek in 2023, Maarten spent over 25 years at ABN AMRO Bank, where he most recently served as Chief Executive Officer Americas and Chief Sustainability Officer. During his tenure at the firm, he held senior positions in investment banking and advisory across sectors including Industrials, Energy, Trade & Commodity Finance, Global Transportation & Logistics in New York, London, and Amsterdam. Through these leadership positions, he has managed many global teams, developed deep product expertise and cultivated extensive relationships across the natural resources sector and throughout emerging markets. He has a strong track record developing and executing new product and growth strategies, while managing and instituting best practices in regulatory and operational platforms as well as risk management frameworks. Maarten is also a Member of Directors Council at Columbia University’s SIPAs Centre on Global Energy Policy (CGEP).
