Achim Plueckebaum

Achim Plueckebaum joined argenx as Global Head of Digital, Data, and IT in September 2025. He brings over 25 years of experience in global pharmaceutical and technology companies, with a proven track record leading large-scale, technology-driven business transformations and fostering innovation.

He has held senior technology leadership roles of increasing responsibility at leading life sciences companies, where he shaped and implemented digital, data and AI strategies spanning R&D, manufacturing, and commercial functions. In parallel, Achim is engaged in board advisory work at the intersection of healthtech and pharma. He is also Executive in Residence at IMD Business School in Switzerland, contributing to executive education and academic research.

Achim holds an M.S. in Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology (USA) and an MBA from the University of Giessen (Germany) and Napier University Edinburgh (Scotland).
