Mark O’Donnell

Mark O’Donnell is a board member at Argonaut Manufacturing Services and was formerly the vice president of service and supply chain at Life Technologies. Mark has over 25 years of experience in the field and has been with Life Technologies since 1984, starting as a senior director of operations. In 2001, they were promoted to vice president of service and supply chain.

O’Donnell has been instrumental in harmonizing the supply chain and growing the services business at Life Technologies. Mark quickly expanded and automated logistics and warehousing to serve 70 countries, resulting in 40% productivity and cycle time improvements. Mark also reorganized procurement to harmonize strategic sourcing and local buyers to enable strategic vendor agreements. In addition, they introduced new planning models to accommodate the different and dynamic market fluctuations of the instrument and consumable business.

Under O’Donnell’s leadership, the service organization successfully evolved from instrument repairs to full workflow support. Mark introduced services for emerging markets, developed new sales channels, and created workflow services that enabled double-digit growth in a down economy. Mark also introduced new service plans, improved service training and support, and introduced remote monitoring models that resulted in significant margin and customer satisfaction improvements.

Mark O'Donnell's educational career began with him obtaining a BA from the University of Connecticut in Liberal Arts and Business. Mark then went on to obtain an MBA from the University of New Haven. Finally, they are currently a law candidate at Peninsula University School of Law.
