May Wu

Principal Environmental System Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory

May Wu is an accomplished environmental system scientist with extensive experience in environmental analysis for energy production, focusing on water-related aspects at Argonne National Laboratory since May 2004. As both a Principal Environmental System Scientist and a Principal Environmental System Analyst, May Wu has developed the online WATER (Water Analysis Tool for Energy Resources) model. Prior to this role, May Wu served as a Senior Research Microbiologist at Nalco from February 1998 to November 2003, where efforts centered on biofouling monitoring and control in cooling water systems. May Wu's earlier work at Argonne National Laboratory as a Postdoctoral researcher involved membrane separation processes and addressing microbial corrosion in oil and gas pipelines. May Wu earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology and Environmental Engineering from Michigan State University and holds a Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from North Carolina State University.
