Thomas A. Wall, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional in civil engineering with extensive experience in climate resilience and infrastructure preparedness. Currently serving as the Director of the Center for Resilience and Decision Science at Argonne National Laboratory, Thomas has held multiple leadership roles since joining the organization in September 2014. Prior to this, Thomas was affiliated with the Georgia Institute of Technology from August 2008 to August 2014 as a researcher and part-time instructor, contributing to key research initiatives related to transportation planning and climate change adaptation. As a Fulbright-Schuman Fellow from September 2010 to June 2011, Thomas conducted research on climate adaptation practices in transportation across the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Thomas's professional background also includes roles as a project engineer and college entrance exam tutor, with educational credentials that include a Ph.D. and an MS in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, along with an Honors BS in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University.
