Greg Kuhlmann

Greg Kuhlmann is a Principal AI Engineer at Arine, focusing on GenAI for medication therapy management since September 2025. Previously, Kuhlmann served as an ML Engineering Manager at Stripe, where responsibilities included leading ML Ecosystem and Analytics teams to enhance fraud and conversion performance using AI/ML. As Co-Founder and CEO of Sumatra from September 2019 to August 2024, Kuhlmann developed a venture-backed real-time ML startup specializing in accessible fraud prevention and conversion optimization tools, culminating in a successful acquisition by Stripe. Earlier experience includes a role as Senior Manager of Data Science at Apple, responsible for machine learning and data engineering for real-time fraud decisioning for Apple Pay and the App Store. Kuhlmann's career began with a Graduate Research Internship at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, focusing on artificial intelligence and planning for Mars Rover missions. Kuhlmann holds a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from UCLA.
