Nish Tahir

Nish Tahir is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and applied AI research. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer in Applied AI Research at TELUS Digital since September 2025, Nish has previously held prominent roles at WillowTree from January 2020 to September 2025, including Principal Software Engineer and Staff Software Engineer. Nish began at WillowTree, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer before advancing to Software Engineer from November 2016 to January 2020. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Associate at Tallinn University of Technology, contributing to early-stage IoT projects, and working as a Java Software Engineer at IB Krates, specializing in full-stack development. Additionally, Nish demonstrated expertise as a Java and Android Instructor at Tallinn University of Technology's Mektory, training over 100 students and designing various courses. Nish holds a Master's Degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from Tallinn University of Technology, achieved between 2014 and 2016.
