Einar Gislason has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Einar is currently working at Arion Banki as the Head of Operations, Risk Management. Prior to this, they worked at the Bank of England for several years, initially as a Banking Supervisor and then as a Resolution Specialist. Before joining the Bank of England, Einar held the position of Managing Editor at MacroDigest and also worked as a Seminar Teacher and Academic Adviser at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Einar has prior experience as a Journalist focusing on domestic, business, and economic affairs at Morgunblaðið, and has also worked in corporate services at Straumur Investment Bank.
Einar Gislason has an extensive education history. In 2003, they attended Háskóli Íslands, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, completing their studies in 2007. Following this, Einar joined The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2008, where they obtained a Graduate Diploma (PGDip) in Accounting and Finance by 2009.
After a brief break from their studies, Einar returned to LSE in 2011 and completed a Master of Science degree (MSc) in Accounting, Organisations, and Institutions by 2012. Continuing their academic pursuits at LSE, they then became a Graduate Researcher in Accounting from 2012 to 2014. During this period, Einar also worked as a Research Student in the Centre for the Analysis of Risk and Regulation, further enhancing their expertise in the field.
