Our mission at ARISE is to empower our students with the knowledge, skills, and agency to become highly educated, humanizing, critically conscious, intellectual, and reflective leaders in our community.

At ARISE we nurture, train, and discipline our school community to engage in a continuous practice of developing mind, heart, and body towards a vision where we actively rise up.

ARISE is a restorative and social justice-centered public charter school located in the Fruitvale Village of East Oakland, CA. Since 2007, we have developed a rigorous, highly engaging, supportive, and authentic learning experience for all of our students.

We are a Silver-Certified Linked Learning Pathway School dedicated to building healthy communities and giving our students and families, many of whom are first generation college-bound, access to college and career pathways in Public & Community Health and Education.
