Eunhae Han is an experienced educator currently serving as a 9th English Teacher at ARISE High School Oakland since June 2023. Han's extensive background includes roles with Teach For America, including DEI Facilitator and Program Manager, and teaching positions at Lighthouse Community Public Schools and City Arts and Tech High School, focusing on English and Ethnic Studies. Han has contributed as a Community Volunteer at Covenant House California and an intern at Quetzal Education Consulting. With degrees from Texas A&M University and Talbot Seminary, Han is pursuing a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology at Sofia University, as well as a School Admin Credential at Loyola Marymount University. Han's diverse educational background and commitment to curriculum design reflect a passion for fostering student engagement and inclusivity.

Our mission at ARISE is to empower our students with the knowledge, skills, and agency to become highly educated, humanizing, critically conscious, intellectual, and reflective leaders in our community. At ARISE we nurture, train, and discipline our school community to engage in a continuous practice of developing mind, heart, and body towards a vision where we actively rise up. ARISE is a restorative and social justice-centered public charter school located in the Fruitvale Village of East Oakland, CA. Since 2007, we have developed a rigorous, highly engaging, supportive, and authentic learning experience for all of our students. We are a Silver-Certified Linked Learning Pathway School dedicated to building healthy communities and giving our students and families, many of whom are first generation college-bound, access to college and career pathways in Public & Community Health and Education.
