Daniel L. Wang

Daniel L. Wang is a highly experienced software engineering professional with a focus on data management and scientific computing. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at Arista Networks since September 2020, Daniel leads the Data team for the Arista NDR product while continuing to build various data solutions. Prior to this role, Daniel was a Lead Data Engineer for the same product and held key positions at Awake Security as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, where expertise in data infrastructure and optimization was demonstrated. Earlier experiences include working as a Research Software Developer at both SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, where contributions to scientific data management and distributed SQL engines were made. Academic qualifications include a PhD from UC Irvine, a Master’s degree from Stanford University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
