Nikhil Dave

Student Regent Nikhil Dave was appointed to the Arizona Board of Regents by Gov. Doug Ducey on July 17, 2020. He is assistant treasurer of the board and a member of the Research and Health Sciences Committee, and the Finance, Capital, and Resources Committee.

Dave was born to two immigrant parents in Chandler, Ariz., and attended Horizon Honors High School in Phoenix. He began his time at Arizona State University at the age of 14, studying Alzheimer’s disease at the Biodesign Institute. After co-authoring two publications and presenting his research at several conferences as a high school student, he was named to Arizona’s 18 under 18 and awarded the Flinn Scholarship to continue his education at ASU. There, he studies Neuroscience and Innovation in Society, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in three years and completing his master’s degree during his fourth year at ASU.
