Tara Gibson

Tara Gibson is an experienced community relations and marketing professional with a strong background in nonprofit leadership and engagement. Currently serving as the Community Relations Project Manager at the Arizona Department of Transportation since June 2023, Tara has also held the position of Marketing and Communications Manager at Literacy Connects since February 2022. Prior roles include Development Manager at Greater Tucson Leadership, where the focus was on storytelling to inspire leadership, and Grant Writer at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, responsible for grant research and donor management. Additional experience includes serving as Community Relations Specialist at Tu Nidito Children and Family Services and as Student Liaison and Post Secondary Education Coordinator at Youth On Their Own. Tara holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University, earned between 2007 and 2011.
