Carol M. Ward

Carol M. Ward is an accomplished water resource management professional currently serving as the Assistant Director of Planning & Permitting at the Arizona Department of Water Resources since August 2019. In this role, Carol heads the Water Planning and Permitting Division, overseeing key sections including Surface Water Rights & Permitting and Groundwater Permitting and Wells. Previously, Carol held multiple positions at the Arizona Municipal Water Users Association, including Deputy Assistant Director and Program Manager for Demand Management & Sustainability. Additionally, Carol contributed as a Board Member for the Alliance for Water Efficiency from January 2016 to August 2019. Carol holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from Hood College.
