Chance Frey has extensive experience in both outdoor recreation and educational advisory roles. Currently serving as a Lift Operator and Ticket Checker at Arizona Snowbowl Resort since December 2012, Chance is responsible for maintaining lift areas and providing customer service. Previous positions include Academic Advisor at Yavapai County Educational Service Agency, focusing on supporting underserved students, and Educational Advisor at Northern Arizona College Resource Center, where workshop development and college readiness were key responsibilities. Earlier career roles included Lift Operator at Coronet Peak / The Remarkables, Janitorial Steward at L'Auberge de Sedona, Package Handler at UPS, and Refrigeration Technician at Hill Phoenix Excellence. Chance began a career in emergency services as a Firefighter/EMT with the Palomar Mountain Volunteer Fire Department. Chance holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Northern Arizona University and two Associate of Science degrees from Palomar College in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management and Fire Prevention and Safety Technology.
Arizona Snowbowl Resort
Located on the majestic San Francisco Peaks, Arizona Snowbowl is just 7 miles outside of Flagstaff, Arizona, 2 hours from Phoenix, and 70 miles from the Grand Canyon. The resort opened in 1938 and is one of the oldest continually operated ski areas in the country. Arizona Snowbowl features 55 trails, eight lifts, three terrain parks, state-of-the-art snowmaking, on-mountain dining options, and Ski Lift Lodge and Cabins. With a peak elevation of 11,500 feet and average of 260 inches of snowfall, Arizona Snowbowl is a true gem of the Southwest ski scene.
