Dr Sarah Dowey

Dr. Sarah Dowey is currently the Head of School Support and Principal Development Lead at Ark Curriculum Plus, a position held since April 2022. Concurrently, Dr. Dowey serves as a Director at Scarborough Athletic Football Club and has been an English Teacher at SCALBY LEARNING TRUST and Scalby School since September 2015, with earlier experience as an English Teacher at Gladstone Road Primary School and Graham School. Dr. Dowey also contributes as an Examiner for Eduqas and as a Subject Expert for Ofqual through July 2024. Dr. Dowey is a PhD candidate at the University of York, having previously obtained a Master's degree in Education and a PGCE in English from the same institution, along with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Hull.
