Samar Hassen

Samar Hassen, PhD, is a seasoned molecular laboratory scientist with extensive experience in laboratory operations and research. Currently employed at Arkana Laboratories since June 2018, Samar holds multiple titles including Molecular Laboratory Scientist and Serology Research Scientist, specializing in light microscopy, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and ApoL1 genotyping. Prior experience includes serving as General Supervisor and Laboratory Scientist in toxicology at Physicians' Laboratories of America, LLC, and as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Mocek Spine Clinic. Academic contributions include roles as Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, focusing on anatomy, physiology, cell biology, serology, and biochemical research. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD and MSc in Applied Bioscience, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Al-Mustansiriyah University.
