Tim Gauger

Tim Gauger is responsible for providing legal assistance and advice to senior executive staff, the Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield Board of Directors, and other executives on various business and insurance-related issues. He is also responsible for the overall management and supervision of the company's legal department and serves as secretary of the corporation. In addition, Gauger serves as a director and secretary/treasurer of the Arkansas Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association. Gauger joined Arkansas Blue Cross in 2015 as senior counsel for regulatory matters and assumed his current position in January 2018. Before joining Arkansas Blue Cross, he served for eight years as chief legal counsel to the governor of Arkansas and for more than a decade as an assistant, senior assistant, and deputy attorney general in the Arkansas Attorney General's civil department. Before moving to Arkansas, he was engaged in a private law practice in California. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and his J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law.
