Alisha Lewis

Alisha Lewis currently serves as the Assistant Commissioner at the Arkansas Department of Higher Education, a position held since October 2020. Prior to this role, Lewis was the Chief Communications Director at the Arkansas Department of Education from March 2016 to October 2020. Additional experience includes serving as the Director of Institutional Advancement and the Director of Public Relations, Marketing, and Branding at UA Cossatot from July 2010 to March 2017, and as a Marketing Officer at Bear State Bank from February 2006 to June 2010. Lewis began a career in banking as an Assistant Marketing Officer at First State Bank from September 1999 to February 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Operations Management and Supervision from the University of Arkansas, an Associate of Arts from Carl Albert State College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations/Image Management from The University of Southern Mississippi.
