Mark White has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Mark has held various positions within the Arkansas Department of Human Services, including Deputy Director and Chief of Staff for Legal and Legislative Affairs, Interim Secretary, Chief of Staff and Chief Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs Officer, and Deputy Director for Aging, Adult, and Behavioral Health Programs. In these roles, they provided leadership, strategic direction, and legal advice to the department, overseeing divisions and programs with large budgets and employee counts.

Additionally, Mark has served as the Executive Director of the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System, Director of Legal Services for the Arkansas Public School Resource Center, DHS Deputy Director, Director of Policy and Legal Services, and DHS Chief Attorney. Beyond their roles in the Department of Human Services, Mark has also gained legal experience as a Staff Attorney for the Arkansas Department of Education, as a Partner in their own law firm, and as an Associate at the Roberts Law Firm. Mark has also served as an Administrative Law Judge for the Arkansas Workers' Compensation Commission and as a Policy Advisor in the Office of the Governor of Arkansas. Mark's work experience showcases their expertise in legal and regulatory matters, leadership, and strategic planning.

Mark White attended Ouachita Baptist University from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science & Communications. Mark then went on to the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, where they obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from 1995 to 1998.

In terms of additional certifications, Mark White obtained a certification in Business Foundations from Walton College Executive Education in November 2020. Mark is also admitted to practice law in various institutions, including the US District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas, The Supreme Court of the United States, and the US Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit. Additionally, they hold the title of Attorney from the Arkansas Supreme Court.
