Christian Becker is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in the fields of chemical engineering and material science. Currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Arkema since June 2016, Christian leads efforts to optimize metal extraction from recycled batteries and develops innovative hydrogen peroxide formulations. Previous roles include Senior Research Specialist at Agrofresh/Dow AgroSciences, where Christian focused on the commercialization of 1-MCP for apple agriculture, and Manager of Formulation Development & Product Support at United Phosphorus Inc., overseeing QC and R&D for crop protection products. Earlier positions include research and development roles at Cerexagri Inc., Arkema, and Elf Atochem, as well as internships in engineering and research at Philips Lighting, Grenoble INP, and SOLAC Steel Plant Laboratory. Christian holds a PhD and multiple master's and bachelor's degrees in Chemical Engineering from Rice University and Grenoble INP.
