Aziel Ferguson has a long and varied work experience. Aziel began their career in 2005 as a Learning Assistant at the College of Coastal Georgia. In 2009, they became an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they developed a Java interface for an AI production system and an interactive world for negotiation training with AI agents. In 2010, they took on a Temporary Technician role at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they developed a novel approach to determining location-based similarity, and integrated video/audio features for location-based story simulation on the iPhone. That same year, they joined Anodyne Health as a Developer and Data Processing Support Associate, where they implemented data-based customization requests for client profiles, directed an offshore team for service offering implementations and data customizations, and developed tools and documents to support customizations, analysis, and quality assurance for business intelligence products. In 2014, they joined athenahealth as a Staff Developer, where they built robustness and fault-protection for large-scale reporting systems, expanded features and capacities of infrastructure for large-scale reporting systems, and lead development for technical interview problems. In 2017, they became a Software Engineer at Performance Matters, LLC, where they worked as part of a Kanban team doing full-stack development for primarily K-12 educational services. Aziel then moved to The Home Depot in 2018 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they increased order management and recall options for internal services, helped to implement reactive programming Spring applications, and added multiple features related to order management life-cycles. Finally, they joined Fiserv in 2018 as a Senior Software Development Engineer, where they developed single sign-on functionalities for various financial services, added improvements for foreign exchange and loan based services, and expanded system capability for communicating with core banking systems. In 2019, they joined Arkestro as a Software Architect, where they defined workflows and created engineering metrics, created and improved the development cycle including continuous integration and deployment, and optimized development processes to increase velocity and agility.

Aziel Ferguson received an Associates degree in Computer Science from Coastal College of Georgia between 2002 and 2007. Aziel then attended Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelors in Computer Science. In 2016, they obtained an Introduction to Kanban certification from LeanKanban University. Aziel also holds a Certified Learning Assistant certification.
