Creative Education via Architecture! Our mission is to empower children and youth with the most essential skills for becoming innovative influencers of the future. Arkki´s creative curriculum supports children and youth in developing the essential skills, competencies, and qualities necessary for today’s society. Arkki´s program represents Finland’s core values: education, equality, participation, creativity, and innovation.
The Arkki curriculum is developed in Finland since 1993 and is officially acknowledged by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. The curriculum integrates different STEAM subjects, Humanities, and Social Sciences using architecture and design projects as holistic real-world phenomena. The after-school program covers ages 4 to 18 years.
The Arkki program has been widely recognized. In 2021 Arkki was awarded the Inspire Future Generations Award, in 2020 chosen among the Top20 innovations of creative education in the world by Lego Foundation, and Hundred, in 2019 awarded the UNICEF Child-Friendly Cities Inspire Award in the category "Meaningful Child Participation", and has been chosen among the prestigious HundrED 2021 Global Collection as one of the leading and most inspiring innovations in education that are changing the face of K12 education today.
