Alex Held

Alex Held is a Arlington, Virginia native and currently serves as the Small Business Manager at Arlington Economic Development. Alex has over five years of experience working in membership engagement and public relations. In their previous role as Public Engagement Specialist for Arlington County, they were responsible for managing all aspects of public engagement with the county government. Alex also served as the Membership Engagement Director for the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, where they were responsible for managing all aspects of members’ engagement with the organization. In this role, they implemented new member engagement strategies to increase member retention and satisfaction. Alex also coordinated and served as a liaison to three Chamber committees, including the Government Affairs & Economic Development Committee, the Membership Engagement Committee, and the YEA! Booster Committee. Alex is a graduate of James Madison University.

Alex Held has a B.B.A. in Marketing from Wichita State University and an H.S. Diploma from Minneola High School.
