Catalina Constain Shin

Catalina Constain Shin is an experienced professional with a diverse background in community engagement, legal advocacy, and support services. Currently serving as the Community Engagement Liaison at Arlington Heights Memorial Library since November 2021, Catalina previously held roles such as Constituent Service Representative for the U.S. House of Representatives and Bilingual Info Services Advisor at the same library. With a strong commitment to supporting victims of domestic violence, Catalina co-facilitated programs at Sarah's Inn and coordinated advocacy efforts. Catalina's earlier experience includes providing legal assistance to seniors and disabled individuals at the Chicago Legal Clinic, Inc. and managing client relationships for the General Consulate of Colombia. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in International Public Service from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in International Relations and Affairs from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano.
