Falana Brown

Falana Brown is an experienced educator specializing in special education, with a career spanning from September 2003 to the present at Arlington ISD. As a Special Education Teacher, Falana has effectively initiated student engagement through individualized support, enhancing student performance by catering to various learning styles. Previous roles include serving as a Prekindergarten Team Lead Teacher, where meaningful lesson plans were developed for preschool-aged children, and as a Positive Behavioral Intervention Support Teacher, focusing on individualized learning programs based on diverse student needs. Additionally, Falana founded and directed Awesome Academics Academy, applying data-driven strategies to improve student engagement, and has held a special education teaching position at Uplift Education. Falana holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Merchandising, Apparel, and Textiles from the University of Kentucky.
