Dr. Gerald R. Mann, Jr. serves as the Chief Academic Officer for Arlington Public Schools since August 2022, bringing extensive experience from Alexandria City Public Schools, where roles included Executive Director of Instructional Support, Executive Director of Secondary Schools, Director of Middle Schools, Principal, Assistant Principal, and Teacher over a 21-year period. Dr. Mann holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, earned between 2015 and 2018, a Master's degree in Education from George Mason University (2003-2005), and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Occidental College (1993-1997).
