Liza Burrell-Aldana, Ed.D., currently serves as a School Principal for Arlington Public Schools, beginning in July 2023, and has held the position of Principal at Alexandria City Public Schools since July 2014. Previously, Liza held the role of Assistant Principal, focusing on staff management and instructional program oversight, and served as a School Testing Coordinator/Instructional Lead Teacher at Arlington Public Schools from August 2008 to July 2014. Liza's career in education began as a teacher at Flint Hill School from August 2003 to August 2008. Liza holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech, a Graduate Certificate in Education Program Evaluation from Georgetown University, a Master of Education in Leadership from George Mason University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the School for International Training.
