Heather Berti (She/Her)

Heather Berti has a diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. Heather started their career as a Human Resources Coordinator at the Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville Hotel in 2008. Heather then moved on to work as a Human Resources Manager at The SoHo Metropolitan Hotel & Residences from 2011 to 2013, where they handled various HR responsibilities such as employee relations, recruitment, training, and health and safety.

After that, Heather joined Thompson Hotels - Commune Hotels & Resorts as a People Services Manager in 2013 and was promoted to the role of Director of People Services in 2014. In 2015, they transitioned to tommie Hotels - Commune Hotels & Resorts as the Director of People Services.

Heather's career progressed further as they worked at Arlo Hotels, where they held several positions. From 2016 to 2018, they served as the Area Director of People Services. Heather then served as the Corporate Director of People Services from 2018 to 2021 and was later promoted to Vice President of People Services from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Vice President of People Services at Arlo Hotels.

In addition to their roles in the hospitality industry, Heather is also a member of Chief, a professional network for women executives, starting in 2022. Overall, Heather Berti has accumulated significant experience in various HR positions in the hospitality sector, showcasing their dedication to people services and building a strong career in that field.

Heather Berti pursued their education at Saint Mary's University from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Later, in 2007 and 2008, they attended George Brown College and completed a Certificate program in Human Resource Management.
