Daniel Kiss is currently the Director of Software Engineering at Arm, where they lead the Android and Chromium teams as well as oversee the Budapest OSS. Daniel has held various roles in software engineering, previously serving as a Principal Software Engineer and Tech Lead for the Android Enablement Team at Arm from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead at Mentor Graphics, leading the development of the VSTAR operating system, which achieved ASIL safety certification for safety-critical automotive applications. Daniel began their career as a Software Engineer at Knorr-Bremse from 2008 to 2010, contributing to the development of platform software for brake systems. They hold a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from Óbuda University and have pursued further studies in applied informatics.
